# Upgrade to WRNexusJS 0.6.0

1. Commit or back up the existing application.
2. Install the v0.6 workspace packages.
3. Run a dry migration:

```powershell
wrnexus update --version=0.6.0 --dry-run --report
```

4. Review ambiguous function runtimes and unresolved imports.
5. Apply the migration:

```powershell
wrnexus update --version=0.6.0 --report
```

6. To adopt strict imports immediately:

```powershell
wrnexus update --version=0.6.0 --explicit-imports --report
```

7. Run `bun install`, `bun run validate:0.6`, and `bun run check`.

Existing applications receive compatible defaults. Legacy `$emit`, `@event`, `event.detail`, implicit component discovery, string layouts, untyped props/state, and unmodified functions remain accepted temporarily. New code should use `output.name(payload)`, `payload`, explicit imports, typed declarations, and runtime modifiers.
